GENERAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES
We offer an Intensive English Program (IEP) for students who
primarily want to learn English. The GICMTC Education teaches grammar/usage,
reading/writing, and listening/speaking. Classes are small and designed to
provide you with a typical American and British classroom experiences.
There are four levels in our program: Beginners (1A, 1B, 1C),
Elementary (2A, 2B, 2C), Intermediate (3A, 3B, 3C) Advanced (1 and 2) and
Conversation or Proficient. Students are assigned to the appropriate level as
determined by the results of the placement test. Each course is covered in a
four-to-five-week session.

In addition, four levels of secondary school classes are held in
June, July and August.
DESIGNING THE PROGRAM OF STUDY FOR LANGUAGES
The aim of all our language courses is to enable learners to
improve both their ability to communicate and their linguistic competence in
the chosen language. A balance of receptive (reading, listening) and productive
(speaking, writing) skills are developed through communicative classes and self‐study.
All courses will give an insight into the Cameroon's culture and society in an
Africa/global context. How to study a language and various transferable skills
are also part of the course.
- ENGLISH LANGUAGE
GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To help participant improve their Listening, Speaking, Writing and
Reading skills; To enable them effectively follow lectures in English, carry
out research using English and use English effectively in their daily
transactions.
BEHAVOURIAL OBJECTIVE:
On completion of course, participants should be able ask and
answer questions during lessons, discussions and debates. They should be able
to carry out research and present papers in English.

Placement
After a written assessment test and an oral assessment interview
learners are placed in the appropriate level. The written assessment test takes
approximately 60 minutes and covers grammar, reading comprehension and writing
skills.

Our General French course will help you to improve your French
language ability while having time to enjoy your destination. Courses focus on
the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal
discussions in everyday life situations.
Standard French course - « to improve your level at your own
pace »
Our standard French classes programme runs part time and
includes of 20 lessons per week (15 hours).
You will improve your linguistic skills in French whilst also
benefiting from time to enjoy internship program.
This programme is available for people of all levels of French -
from beginner to advanced. It is centred around fundamental aspects of learning
a language: reading, writing and comprehension with a particular emphasis on
oral expression and phonetics. You will learn to express yourself in both
formal and informal environments.

Our teaching approach is based on the CEFR (Common European

For long stays (from a few weeks to 1 year, you can choose among
our long stay programs: academic programs or Gap Year programs

INTENSIVE FRENCH COURSES « a deepened understanding with
practice »
Our intensive French programme offers a quick and effective way
of improving your French skills whatever your current language level. The
10 additional lessons to the standard programme are very dynamic and allow
you to enhance your linguistic immersion; the themes addressed change each week
and are linked with topical news in France. You will be able to exchange and
debate in small groups developing by practising phonetics, pronunciation and
studying French culture.

Why not add an Intensive Upgrade supplement? With the Super
Intensive course, you have the opportunity to customize your Intensive course
with specific private lessons, including business French and exam preparation
or specific topics.
